Book Travelling Thursdays is a fun meme I decided to join in on. The rules are simple. Pick a book that fits in with the current week’s theme. Give your reasoning for choosing said book. Share the original cover, the cover from your country, your favourite cover, and your least favourite cover. Sounds fun to me! You can join in on the fun here.
This week, we are choosing an all-time favourite book. My pick is, of course, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This book will forever hold a special place in my heart, since it’s the reason I am the reader I am today. I credit my love of reading to this book and to Suzanne Collins. (By the way – when the heck is her new book coming out? It’s been THREE YEARS since she announced she was writing it!)
Covers for My Country (Canada)
My Favourite Covers
The cover on the right is Turkish. I just like the simple look. The one on the left is the copy I own, so maybe I’m biased toward it? I’m not sure, but these are my two favourites.
My Least Favourite Covers
The first one is the Thai cover. I don’t like it at all. It looks like a cover for an old-school video game or something.
The second one is the Russian cover. I don’t like that the image makes it seem like this book is a romance, when actually romance is a very small part of the story. There is sooo much more to it than romance!
The third one is the Dutch cover. It just looks very childish and I don’t like that it’s pink. Pink to me is a happy, cheerful cover, which this story is not.
