The Clash of Blogging and Summertime

The Clash of Blogging and Summertime
21 July, 2015 / 4 Comments

Is it just me or is it much harder to stay motivated and consistent with blogging come summertime?  I feel like there are so many things going on in the summer that my blog suffers because of it.  Life is busy at the best of times, but summer is even worse.  There are weddings, barbecues, travelling, and more!  These things make it difficult to have time for blogging…and even reading! Not to mention – who wants to just sit on a computer for however long to keep up with blogging when it’s so beautiful outside?  Especially for someone (like me) […]

My Nails This Week: New Twist on French Tip

My Nails This Week: New Twist on French Tip

I actually have no clue if this design has been done before (surely I’m not the first one to think of this?), but the idea came fresh and clean into my mind with no use of inspiration from others.  So, here it is: The colours don’t show up the greatest in this picture, but they are a pale blue-grey and a navy blue. What do you think of this design? Let me know in the comments what you think, link me up to your own, or suggest a design for me to try!

What Makes a Good Blog?

What Makes a Good Blog?
9 June, 2015 / 7 Comments

After discussing what makes a good discussion post, I got to thinking about what it is that makes a good blog – a blog that draws followers and keeps people coming back.  There are many factors involved, I’m sure.  However, even if you do everything right, does it guarantee you will have lots of followers?  What draws others in and causes them to like your blog?? Design I see design as being a big factor when it comes to gaining followers.  I mean, really, it’s the first thing potential readers will see.  Before they even get to reading anything, they […]

My Nails This Week: Nude Design

My Nails This Week: Nude Design
3 June, 2015 / 1 Comment

I got Zoya’s new Satin collection and this is my first time wearing a “nude” nail colour, so I thought I would play with it a little.  I felt like it needed some colour!  And what colour is better for Spring than pink? What do you think of this design? Let me know in the comments what you think, link me up to your own, or suggest a design for me to try!

Blogging vs. Other Interests

Blogging vs. Other Interests
19 May, 2015 / 1 Comment

It’s strange.  I seem to go through spurts when it comes to blogging.  Sometimes (like when I recreated my blog into its current version), I am so into blogging and so excited about it and just want to post new stuff everyday (and actually think of things to post everyday)…But then come the times when I’m completely lacking motivation.  Either I completely run out of interesting things to talk about or I just don’t feel like blogging.  Sometimes I would just rather be doing other things. I have a lot of interests This is both a good and bad thing […]

My Faves in Nails

My Faves in Nails
13 May, 2015 / 0 Comments

While I love trying new things, I do have favourites when it comes to nails.  It took me a while to find some of these (such as the perfect top coat), so I thought I would share them with you in case you are looking to find a new favourite or are just curious about what I use. Top Coat I love, love, love the Seche Vite topcoat.  It looks so smooth and shiny and it dries in LITERALLY about two minutes!  I can’t stand sitting around waiting for my nails to dry before I can carry on with my […]

My Nails This Week – Gradient Pixie Dust

My Nails This Week – Gradient Pixie Dust
29 April, 2015 / 0 Comments

One of my favourite nail polishes is Zoya’s Pixie Dust collection.  I thought I would try my hand at some gradient nail art this week.  The awesome part: no sponge required!  The less-than-awesome part: I realize now that this looks more like a winter nail design than spring/summer, but oh well!  I wanted to do it and I surprisingly have few colour options when it comes to my pixie dust selection.  So, here is my winter in spring nail design: What do you think of this design? Let me know in the comments what you think, link me up to […]
