It’s time.

Evil is running rampant and sweet Anna Whitt is its target. Nobody knows when or how the Dukes will strike, but Anna and her Nephilim allies will do anything necessary to rid the earth of the demons and their oppressive ways.

The stakes are higher than ever, and Anna is determined that the love she feels will be her strength, not a liability. But trying to protect the ones she loves while running for her life and battling demonic forces proves to be perilous—especially as faces are changing and trust is fleeting. When the Duke of Lust sends Anna’s great love, Kaidan Rowe, to work against her, Anna must decide how much she’s prepared to risk.

In the most sensual and fast-paced installment yet, Sweet Reckoning brings all the beloved Neph together one last time to fight for their freedom.

My Review

Oh, this is so hard.  I’ve been reading so many series-enders so far this year and I really find the reviews difficult to write…and the stories hard to let go of!  If you’ve read my reviews of Sweet Evil and Sweet Peril, you know that I adore this series.  I really love it so much and in so many ways.  I highly recommend for you to read it!

I love the characters.  All of them.  They are all very close to perfect characters (not perfect in that they are perfect people, just that they are likeable, relatable, and developed well).  I will truly miss Kai and Anna.  I completely fell head over heels for their relationship.  And then there’s Kope and his lovely kind ways.  He is definitely a favourite character of mine.  And all the other characters that were so wonderfully added to this story.  I will miss you all and your story!!  Okay, I feel like I’m writing an acknowledgement – to the characters.  Weird.  But, seriously, they are all wonderful.  <3

The writing of Wendy Higgins is definitely not perfect.  I mean, it’s her debut series and she does have growing to do.  But, she is an amazing storyteller.  I loved the ‘Sweet’ story through and through.  It made me laugh, cry (almost – especially at the end of this final book…you’ll see!), swoon, and just feel an overall adoration for it.  I cannot wait to read more from Wendy Higgins!

5 stars blue
