Get ready to fall . . .
I enjoyed this book. The story kept my interest and I wanted to keep reading to find out what the deal was. While there is nothing overly wrong or done poorly in this book, it just isn’t a favourite of mine. It’s just one of those books that I liked, but can’t get excited about.
One thing that kept nagging me throughout reading this book is that I can’t shake the feeling that I’ve read this story before. Don’t get me wrong, I’m positive I haven’t read this particular novel before. But I’m sure I’ve read a very similar take on this angel/human epic romance story before. While I was curious where the story was going, I always knew the direction it was headed. I’m sure this story has been told before, or a very similar one. I just can’t think of which book it was! I’ll have to keep thinking on that.
That would probably be my only complaint. While the story definitely had its slower parts, it was good as a whole. The characters were written well and were easy to connect with. I do plan on reading the sequel. I want to find out more!
Best Aspect: Story/characters
Worst Aspect: Uniqueness (I feel like I’ve read this story before!)
