A Look Back at 2018!

7 January, 2019 / 12 Comments

Welcome to my look back at 2018!  Below you will find stats and charts galore!  Enjoy!

According to Goodreads, I read 14,954 pages across 46 books this year.  I’m happy with this, as I don’t have a lot of time to read these days and this is my most read year since before I was pregnant with my now toddler.  So, things are looking up for reading!

This definitely makes sense.  While I enjoy all genres, this year I have been really into contemporary romance.  I just want to read happier books!

  1. Maybe All Your Perfects is the Hoover book I need to get back into her books. For some reason, after Maybe Someday (which I ADORED) I’ve been a bit disappointed with them, and it’s been a while since I picked one up. I need to try again!

Love seeing all your graphs, by the way!

Yeeessss, I loved it so much! I need to read Maybe Someday too – I actually think I own that one! That’s a bummer you’ve been disappointed in her recent books. I’ve only read a couple of her books, but have loved them so far! I hope you enjoy All Your Perfects if you decide to read it!

Thanks! It was so much fun putting it all together and seeing the results!

  2. oh I Love our charts! You have awesome categories that you track! like the gender of the authors and characters.I think we had a pretty similar bookish year! 🙂 Hope this year is even better Sam!

Thanks so much!! I loved making them! 2018 was the first year I committed to tracking, so I was very excited to see it all come together in the charts! I hope you have an awesome 2019 too! 🙂

I loooove eBooks so much, which is rare in this book blogging community – nice to know you read them almost exclusively too! Happy New Year!! 🙂

Yes, I prefer eBooks actually, so it’s easy for me! I hope you have the chance to read more eBooks this year like you want to! I know – I’ve been really into the contemporaries lately and I’m loving it! I just want to read more and more!!

Haha – that’s what I used to say too! I’m glad I finally committed to tracking in 2018 and put the time in do create the charts and see the results. It was so fun!

I haven’t read All Your Perfects but it sounds amazing. My favorite YA in 2018 was American Panda. 46 books for your personal enjoyment is an accomplishment when you have a toddler.
