A Look Back at April 2018

1 May, 2018 / 16 Comments

Well, all things considered, I think I was pretty productive on the blog this month!  Here’s hoping I can keep it up!  I’m super pumped that the weather has improved.  Where I live it was sooo cold even just a few weeks ago, but this last week was actually HOT!  It’s like we skipped spring!  My daughter is loving being able to spend so much time outside and OMG she’s going to be TWO in a little over a month!!!  Hoping for more sleep and less tantrums in May (she’s been going through a sleep regression for four weeks – it has to end soon!).  Hoping for better health for myself and my family too – my mom, my sister, and I have all been struggling with various health issues over the last few months – what is going on??

  1. April has been a whirlwind! I started kickboxing, my son is doing Brazilian ju-jitsu , and the twins are climbing everything. I still managed to read a few books, but I’m not sure how. I think listening to audiobooks while I’m driving or cleaning helps! Glad your April went well. 🙂

Listening to audiobooks while driving or cleaning is a great idea! I don’t have to drive very far to work these days, though, so not much point in listening for such a limited time. Oooo kickboxing sounds fun! My husband took up Brazilian ju-jitsu for a bit.

Ooo Birchbox looks awesome too! One thing I really like about BoxyCharm is that it’s full-size products, whereas most boxes like this are just sample sizes. I don’t know how they do it, but I’m not complaining! 🙂

  2. Oh I feel you on the tantrumming. My 20 month old had a bunch of them in April but in his case it turned out that he got his fifth chisel early. I was not expecting the second round of chisels to start so soon. ._.
    Such pretty nail art!

I’m pretty sure my daughter has been working on her 2nd year molars for months now! She’s 23 months old. The first year molars came all at once but took so long to fully get through. I’m thinking the same is happening now with the 2nd year molars. Ugh! Good luck to you on the tantrumming! Toddlers are rough, but also so cute haha!

  3. We seemed to skip Spring here and now we’re in the 100+. I hope you are able to figure out your health issues. I love your nails by the way! I tend to just do simple colors and right now I’m really into blue nails, so I’m in love with your nails. I hope May treats you well.

Hope you keep on enjoying the weather! We’re headed into Winter in Oz, but it doesn’t snow where I’m from. Hope you’re having a great May. Happy reading!

Oh man, I’ve been in a terrible book slump for too long, so I haven’t been reading, but I do enjoy looking at people TBRs or bookstagram, it kind of gives me a pick-me-up
