A Look Back at June 2018

29 June, 2018 / 9 Comments

June was a great month for me!  I’m getting settled into my new job, which I am really liking so far.  My daughter turned TWO!  So exciting.  And since her birthday, I swear she has been learning new things and growing like crazy.  It’s like she turned two and all of a sudden – BAM!  She’s just this big kid now!  She can suddenly independent play no problem, she’s enjoying all of her toys more, she’s chatting up a storm, she’s going to bed better, and she’s decided she’s big enough to take showers now!  As for on the blog, things are going well too.  June was another (surprisingly) productive month for blogging.  I don’t have as much time to blog as I did before this job, but I’m hoping to stay fairly consistent.  And I’ve been doing nail art more often – yay!  I’m hoping that continues too.  As for reading, I didn’t get too much reading done this month, unfortunately, but hopefully that will pick up!

  1. I know the feeling! My son seemed to start growing more quickly once he hit two. The girls are 18-months, so soon they’ll be doing the same. I cannot wait to hear what’s going on in their heads! <3

I know, right? My daughter is talking a bit, but most of what she says I have no clue! I would love to know what she’s trying to tell me when she’s just babbling away!

  2. I vaguely remember when my son was 2… it was a good year! No terrible two’s for him. But wow did we have a terrible four!! haha But we got through it. Glad you are enjoying it 🙂 The time goes so fast. I may need to do a June wrap up because I can’t recall which books I’ve read when. haha I did read Suicide Club and loved it! I also re-read Zami: A New Spelling of My Name by Audre Lorde which is a classic that I adore. Happy reading!

  3. Oh sweet! It seems like just the other day my daughter was two (she’s now Four). I found 2.5 and 3.5 to be HUGE growth and changes in her. And now she’s nearing 4.5 I’m thinking that this will be a biggie too!

Glad you had such a good month and I hope July is shaping up to be awesome too!

I haven’t noticed a big change like this since 10 months! That was the last time I remember thinking that things got a whole lot different (and better – haha). 4.5 – that must be a fun age??!!

Enjoy this little person as long as you can. I laughed about being big enough to take showers–my kids always wanted to play in the bath until the water was too cold. Your nail art is amazing. Just this morning I was thinking that I will never live long enough to read all the books I want to.
