A Day in the Life of an 8-Month-Old

8 February, 2017 / 2 Comments

Please keep in mind that every baby is different and I’m positive that mine doesn’t follow the “norm” for babies her age, so please don’t think there is anything wrong with yours if he/she doesn’t follow the same schedule as mine.  Please also realize that my daughter’s schedule changes on a daily basis and while this was one day of her life, there are many other days that are completely different.

7:00 a.m.

Wake up. Talk to myself until mommy and daddy notice and come get me. Daddy changes my diaper and dresses me (usually in mismatched clothes and mommy laughs at his choices. I think he does a good job. As long as I’m comfy and warm, don’t matter to me!). Daddy brushes my teeth.

7:15 a.m.

Mommy greets me with a bottle. I prefer solids these days, but I’m hungry, so I’ll drink it. Daddy goes to work. Mommy does feed me solids after this bottle, which I appreciate. Today is banana and mango.

7:45 a.m.

Playtime! Today we play on the rug in the living room while mom sips her coffee. She doesn’t play as fun with me until she’s had that drink.

End note: Yes, those are my daughter’s feet in this post’s header image. Adorable, no?!
